Work Placement Officer – Maternity Cover

Salary: £30,438 to £32,292 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Weeks: 52 weeks per year
Role to cover Maternity until April/May 2027, or until the post holder returns.
Responsibilities
* Sourcing and exploring opportunities for student work placements with vocationally relevant employers.
* Conducting visits to employer premises to monitor the progress of students on their work placement and assess the performance and competence of Early Years students against specific assessment criteria.
* Building strong relationships with employers and liaising on candidate suitability.
* Promoting the value of work experience and work/industry placements with students, enhancing progression opportunities.
* Supporting the delivery of readiness for work experience through group activity.
Qualifications
* GCSEs in Maths and English A*-C/9-4 or equivalent.
* Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or equivalent.
* Experience of assessing within Early Years and Childcare, including on T-level Education & Early Years.
* Experience of working with employers in an educational or training setting.
