Job Title: Quality Lead – Inspection (Dimensional Control )Location: Barrow-in-Furness. On-SiteSalary: Circa £50,000 depending on skills & experienceWhat you’ll be doing:Being responsible for all aspects delivery of Dimensional Control in your chosen facility, this include managing a team of metrology inspectorsSupporting internal and external audits, these will also include quality investigations and root cause analysis workshopsSupporting and leading build reviews and delivery look ahead to support all programmesEnsuring LfE (Learn from Experience) is captured and fed back into the programmeCo-ordinating resources across the facility to support programme requirementsReducing defects, through predictive measurement and reportingSupporting Dimensional Control handovers between facilitiesInterfacing with Customer, representing Quality and Dimensional ControlYour skills and experiences:NVQ 3 in a STEM related discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) or equivalentKnowledge of Metrology best practices, equipment and software programsExperienced user of SAP and TeamcenterSubmarines knowledge/experienceBenefits:As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.The Dimensional Control team:Dimensional Control is the application of 3D measurement to generate the ‘As-’built’ condition of a component the data is also used to simulate manufacture in a digital space to aid build decisions.
