12 Month FTC Role Purpose To lead the Group Material Specification team, to provide Greencore with the required Technical compliance documentation, ensuring that product food safety regulations are met, and documentation is produced in line with critical path timescales and launch deadlines Key Accountabilities Maintenance of up to date and accurate specifications for all live materials Management of internal and external stakeholder relationships, provision of support to resolve escalations of non-compliance and delivery of consistent ways of working Leadership of the Group Material Specification team, providing support and guidance, ensuring that a lean enterprise culture is established and all colleagues are performing to their potential Ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of the online specification system and processes and policies within scope of remit, driving simplicity and consistency of outcomes by streamlining core processes Management of raw material change to ensure accuracy of specifications Provision of accurate and timely specification data to key internal stakeholders to support reporting and decision making Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and labelling changes and updated customer technical policies, within scope of remit Review of content to develop template specifications for each material to improve compliance Work closely with material suppliers and internal teams to agree quality parameters of materials, supporting appropriate checks at intake to ensure compliance is metKnowledge, Skills and Experience Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent qualification Holds Level 2 certifications in both Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Hazard analysis & critical control points (HACCP) and micro awareness Excellent level of computer literacy Expert knowledge of web-based specification systems Detailed knowledge and experience of approving specifications for raw materials/packaging in food manufacturing environment and/or writing specifications for retailers in a food manufacturing environment Advanced knowledge of legal labelling legislation and application, including additives legislation Excellent communication and leadership skills These may be trained or developed - they do not all need to be in place at recruitment
