Construction specialist support assistant needed in the Runcorn Area
North West / temporary / £95 - 115 per day
Are you an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant with a background in Construction or vocational learning? Do you have the ability to engage and support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students with SEMH needs? The school is proud to be working with a specialist provision in Runcorn, supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs. The setting provides a structured and supportive environment, helping students build confidence, develop practical skills and re‑engage with education through tailored learning opportunities.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant with Construction experience on a temp to perm basis, starting as soon as possible. The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students both in the classroom and during vocational activities, promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement with learning.
The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will have:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
* A background in Construction or vocational learning
* Previous experience supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
* Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
* A calm, patient and adaptable approach
* A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
