SEMH Teacher – Salisbury
About the School and the SEMH Teacher Job:
Prospero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic SEMH Teachers to work with students with a range of Additional Needs including students with Autism and Learning Difficulties.
1. Due to the needs of the students the school require a Teacher with experience of working with students with Special Educational Needs.
2. The School, based outside of central Salisbury is a small, unique education provision, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2019. The school offers a range of rich learning opportunities for pupils aged 6-18 years, and offers a happy, safe and welcoming environment, which allows their pupils to achieve their own academic targets whilst feeling safe, secure and boosting their self-esteem.
3. Purpose built school with specialist learning areas.
4. We are looking for teachers for long term supply and permanent positions.
5. The school work across Key Stages 2-4 hence there are opportunities across these key stages.

Experience, Training and Qualifications needed for SEN Teacher role
13. Previous LSA experience is required, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
14. Previous experience working with challenging behaviour would be advantageous
15. A passion for working with children with SEMH.
16. Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities.
17. You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.

19. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
