Role Purpose PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Teach assigned class together with associated preparation and correction • Play a part in developing school curriculum as appropriate to the School Improvement Plan and other identified areas • Assess, record and report on the work of pupils • Provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education • Promote and safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils • Work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals • Undertake appropriate and agreed continuing professional development • Participate in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual pupil review • Contribute to community and corporate aspects of school life RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the headteacher.
