We are looking for a 2IC English Teacher who is passionate about empowering students, fostering confidence in reading and writing, and helping staff deliver high-quality, engaging lessons. You will play a key role in supporting curriculum development, mentoring colleagues, and maintaining the departments standards of excellence.
The Role (Second in Charge, English Teacher) | The successful candidate will:
* Support the Head of English in leading and managing the department
* Contribute to curriculum planning, teaching strategies, and assessment across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Monitor student progress and help implement interventions to raise achievement
* Mentor and support colleagues, fostering collaboration and sharing best practice
* Encourage students to engage with literature, language, and creative writing
* Help organise department events, enrichment activities, and cross-curricular projects
