Job Title: Head of Group Supply Chain
Role Purpose
The Head of Group Supply Chain is responsible for leading and optimising the organisation’s end-to-end supply chain operations, encompassing:
* Planning & Analysis
* Procurement
* Inventory Management
* Logistics (Transportation, Warehousing, Distribution/Fulfilment)
* Returns (Reverse Logistics)
This strategic leadership role ensures the supply chain is cash and cost-efficient, resilient, and responsive to evolving business needs. The role involves cross-functional collaboration and external stakeholder engagement to drive operational excellence, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
* Develop and implement supply chain strategy aligned with business goals.
* Lead all core supply chain functions.
* Drive cost-efficiency, cash optimisation, and service level improvements.
* Implement technology-driven enhancements (automation, analytics).
* Collaborate with finance, sales, marketing, and customer service.
Planning & Analysis
* Lead S&OP; enhance forecasting and supply alignment; integrate financial planning.
Procurement & Supplier Management:
* Manage sourcing, negotiations, compliance, and supplier relationships; mitigate risks; support product/service redesign.
Inventory Management:
* Optimise stock levels and working capital; align with business cycles; ensure accurate records and warehouse safety.
Logistics:
* Oversee transport, warehousing, and distribution; manage 3PL performance and inventory systems.
Reverse Logistics:
* Streamline returns and refurbishments; track installer inventory; ensure sustainability compliance.
Performance & Improvement:
* Monitor KPIs; drive lean, agile, and sustainable practices; ensure legal and environmental compliance.
Health & Safety & Compliance:
* Promote safe practices; ensure GDPR and policy adherence.
People Leadership:
* Provide direction, feedback, and development; foster an inclusive team culture.
Key Requirements:
Essential Experience
* Deep expertise in supply chain functions.
* Proven leadership in diverse supply chain environments.
* Strategic planning and execution.
* Vendor and supplier management.
* Operational excellence and process improvement.
* Knowledge of sustainability and CSR in supply chains.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
* MBA or advanced degree preferred.
* Certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or Lean Six Sigma desirable.
Skills & Knowledge
* Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making.
* Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau.
* ERP system experience (e.g., Business Central).
