Role Description
Brief Description: Are you ready to take the lead in one of the most dynamic and fast-paced infrastructure portfolios in the country? We’re seeking driven and strategic professionals to lead the commercial and contract management of a diverse portfolio of building, civil engineering, maintenance, and renewal projects, as well as critical infrastructure support contracts, throughout Scotland’s Railway.
Responsibilities
* Lead commercial management across high-volume, fast-moving portfolios.
* Develop commercial strategies and support pre-contract activities to ensure projects are set up for success from day one.
* Collaborate with internal teams, understand stakeholder needs, and build strong supplier relationships.
* Navigate multiple projects at various stages, bringing clarity, structure, and momentum.
* Oversee contractor performance under framework agreements, leading contract negotiations and risk/value assessments.
* Guide and develop a high-performing commercial team in a relentless drive for efficiency.

Essential Skills and Knowledge
* Knowledge of railway and construction industry conditions of contract
* Educated to degree level or equivalent and professional qualification
* Experienced negotiator
* Experience of resolution of construction contract disputes
* 5 years’ relevant railway and/or construction experience
* Knowledge of railway commercial contract management
Desirable
* Experience of managing and developing a team of staff
* Good communication skills both written and oral
* Experience of contractors accounts
Salary and Benefits
Salary: £55,596 - £63,797
