Are you ready to take on an exciting new challenge? If so our Employment and Pensions team in Birmingham are seeking a dedicated individual to join as a Legal Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential administrative support within a dynamic legal environment.
The Role
As a Legal Assistant in Employment and Pensions, you will:
* Manage filing systems, including opening and closing files, and maintain electronic document management.
* Assist fee earners with billing, credit control, and ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules.
* Produce, engross, and compile documents, including managing data-rooms and electronic storage.
* Conduct legal research and obtain official documents from local authorities and third-party providers.
* Enter and update client details in the firm's Client Management System.
* Provide administrative support, including scanning, photocopying, and managing correspondence.
The Candidate
The ideal Legal Assistant candidate will:
* Demonstrate exceptional client service skills and a proactive attitude.
* Be enthusiastic, flexible, and capable of working autonomously.
* Have strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
* Be proficient in Microsoft Office and have previous administrative experience (desirable).
* Be a committed team player with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
