About The Role
We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be involved in all aspects of finance, ensuring accurate month-end processes and providing management information to Pioneer businesses.
This role offers exposure to fast-growing ventures and diverse insurance propositions, with opportunities to collaborate with senior leadership and influence high-impact projects.
Role Responsibilities
* Complete month-end activities accurately and timely, producing management reports for stakeholders.
* Support the production of insurance bordereaux for our Group insurance provider.
* Prepare month-end accounts and assist with quarterly Group consolidations, liaising with Group Finance.
* Develop understanding of business activities and build relationships across departments to provide financial support.
* Manage key balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies.
* Enhance control and accounting processes to improve efficiency.
* Assist with identifying process improvements for new products.
* Provide support and complete ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
* Part-qualified or qualified accountant with experience in financial or management accounting.
* Knowledge of accounting processes, month-end procedures, and internal controls.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
* Insurance experience is a plus but not essential.
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is desirable.
