We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Class Teacher to join our inclusive and high-achieving primary school in Nottingham from January 2026. This is a permanent position, open to full-time and part-time applicants, with the potential for a TLR for subject or phase leadership for the right candidate. The Role Position: Year 6 Class Teacher Location: Nottingham Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time Considered TLR: Available for Subject or Phase Leadership (for the right candidate) As our Year 6 Teacher, you will: Lead a motivated Year 6 class, preparing pupils for SATs and the transition to secondary school. Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and confidence. Assess learning effectively to ensure all pupils make strong progress. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture where every child feels valued and supported. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to promote high standards across the school. (If applicable) Take on a subject or phase leadership role as part of a TLR opportunity. What We’re Looking For We welcome applicants who: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Have experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6. Possess a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum, SATs preparation and secondary transition. Are reflective practitioners with excellent communication and organisational skills. Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm and a commitment to inclusion. Thrive in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
