Overview
Organisation Development Officer – VANRATH are proud to be partnering with a respected public sector organisation to recruit an Organisation Development Officer on an initial 3-month contract with strong potential for extension. This role is a great opportunity for a proactive OD professional to join a high-impact team focused on improving organisational culture, employee engagement, and leadership capability across a diverse and community-focused workforce.
The Role
Reporting to the Organisation Development & Employee Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in:
* Supporting the delivery of the Organisation Development Business Plan
* Designing and implementing development programmes and leadership initiatives
* Driving employee engagement, wellbeing, and internal communications strategies
* Supporting elected member development and accreditation compliance
* Advising on talent development, workforce planning, and succession strategies
* Designing, delivering, and evaluating in-house and external training interventions
This is a dynamic role that will suit an individual with a background in OD, L&D, or HR, who thrives in a collaborative, public-facing environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
A relevant third-level qualification (Level 4 or above) in a business-related subject
* Membership of the CIPD (Associate or above)
* 2+ years' experience in an Organisation Development or Learning & Development role
* Proven experience with:
* Designing and delivering engagement and wellbeing initiatives
* Internal communications planning and delivery
* Developing leadership or elected member training
* Implementing innovative learning methodologies including digital/e-learning
