VV&T Engineer – Defence & Space Programmes

A leading defence prime, specialising in secure communications and space-based systems, is seeking an experienced Verification, Validation & Test (VV&T) Engineer to support the delivery of a next-generation programme within the MILSAT or SATCOM domain.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to nationally significant projects that underpin the UK’s secure communications infrastructure. You’ll be working as part of a multidisciplinary team ensuring the reliability, integrity, and performance of complex mission systems.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Develop and execute VV&T strategies across the system lifecycle (from requirements through to final system integration)
* Support planning, design, and execution of test campaigns
* Participate in reviews and provide assurance of systems performance against user needs and contractual requirements
* Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software teams to drive defect resolution and continuous improvement
* Support test readiness reviews and customer acceptance activities
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in a VV&T, systems test, or integration engineering role
* Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements management and traceability
* Experience with space, communications, or defence systems—particularly MILSATCOM or SATCOM
* Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks (e.g. DOORS, MBSE, ISO, ECSS)
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Engineers who are happy to be on customer site which could be at a number of locations throughout the UK.
Security Requirements:
Due to the nature of the programme, UK Nationals only.
Active SC or DV clearance is highly desirable. However, the client is open to sponsoring clearance for candidates with the right background and domain experience.
