As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting. With your background in health care, you will bring a unique skill set to the role, ensuring students receive the tailored support they need to thrive in their education. Your experience in health care will help you understand the individual needs of students and assist in their physical, emotional, and medical care where necessary.
Pay, Hours and Contract:
Pay GBP£14.00 per hour
Hours 09:00am - 15:30pm
Contract Full Time
Start Date September
Key Responsibilities:
Support children with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, and emotional needs.
Assist teachers in delivering IEPs and supporting learning.
Provide focused 1:1 or small group support to keep students engaged.
Use your health care skills to help with personal care, mobility, and medical needs.
Who We're Looking For:
Health care Background: You may have worked in roles such as nursing, care assistance, occupational therapy, or any role that has given you experience with personal care and supporting others.
Enhanced DBS check (ideally on the Update Service; we can process a new one if necessary).
A recognised Childcare-based qualification is preferred, but not essential.
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
