A primary school in Birkenhead is looking to appoint a KS1 Teacher to work Monday to Thursday mornings.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and experienced teacher seeking a part-time role within a supportive school.
The Role:
1. Teaching a KS1 class
2. Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons
3. Maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour
4. Working closely with the wider KS1 team
We’re Looking For:
5. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
6. Recent KS1 teaching experience
7. Strong behaviour management skills
8. Experience supporting a range of mixed behaviours
9. A calm, consistent and confident approach
10. Ability to build positive relationships quickly
The school is looking for someone who can provide stability, structure and strong classroom management from day one.

Job Specification
Your role as a Key Stage 1 (KS1) Primary Teacher in the age group of your speciality will be varied and at times challenging. But we doubt you’ll find a more satisfying career where your main objectives will be to develop the children and prepare them for the next stage.
As a Primary School Key Stage 1 Teacher you’ll be expected to:
11. Hold QTS status
12. Teach all areas of the school curriculum
13. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
14. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
15. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
16. Maintain discipline
17. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
18. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
19. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
20. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
