Job Summary
Bradford Council is recruiting experienced SEND Learning Support Assistants to work in new specialist provisions. Staff will be employed centrally by Bradford Children’s Services and placed across mainstream schools. These provisions support children with Autism (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in primary and secondary settings across the district.
This role is based across the Bradford district.

Main Responsibilities
• Support students with ASD and SEMH needs in specialist provisions.
• Assist learning and development in primary or secondary settings.
• Work closely with teachers to create an inclusive environment.
• Help students build confidence, independence, and key skills.
• Contribute to positive progress so students can reach their potential.
Essential Skills
• Experience supporting students with ASD or SEMH needs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Fluent in English, with clear examples of fluency.
• Ability to work well in a team and understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education.
