Anne Corder Recruitment is delighted to be working exclusively with our client, a global leader in specialist power test equipment, to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their innovative New Product Development (NPD) team.

What you'll be doing:
As a key member of the NPD team, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and delivering new and enhanced electrical products that meet the demands of a technically advanced and international customer base. You will:
* Create product concepts using customer and market data
* Lead the electrical design process - from early analysis to drawings, models, and schematics using CAD tools
* Support and run FMEA, validation, and testing programs
* Ensure systems integration and Design for Manufacture (DFM)
* Create technical specifications, BOMs, test reports, and customer documentation
* Maintain compliance with international standards (e.g., CE, UL, CSA)
* Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams
* Keep abreast of new technologies to inform future product improvements
* Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering processes and team efficiency
What we're looking for:
* A degree (BS/BEng) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* 5+ years' experience in a product-focused NPD role
* Hands-on experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks Electrical
* Understanding of HV, MV, and LV circuits - ideally in connection with load banks, gensets, transformers, or grid-connected systems
* Strong problem-solving skills with the confidence to make decisions and lead from the front
* Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
* A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Desirable:
* PE (Professional Engineering) status
* Knowledge of industry standards and certification processes
* Experience with Microsoft 365 tools for documentation and collaboration
