We have a highly regarded Aseptic Production Unit (APU) at the Trust and moved into our brand new unit in 2023. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with an interest in Aseptic production. The role will involve rotations through cytotoxic reconstitution, CIVAS, and TPN.
The post holder will contribute to the efficient and effective running of the manufacturing service by participating in the production and distribution of sterile parenteral medicines.
You must have NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or Science Manufacturing Technician or equivalent (or be working towards these) and be a member of the GPhC, Science Council, or equivalent.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering the day-to-day workload as a member of a dedicated team, including:
* Chemotherapy - cytotoxic reconstitution service.
* Parenteral Nutrition Service serving both hospital and home patients, including adult and neonatal products.
* Intravenous Additive Service offering a range of products for Royal University Hospitals and external customers.

Responsibilities include organizing workload, deploying staff effectively, adhering to SOPs, maintaining equipment and training documents, liaising with customers and quality control, and reporting deviations. You will also collate workload statistics for the Senior Technician - Aseptic Services.
