SEN Teacher January Start Job description Sennen Education are working with a specialist primary and secondary school looking for a full-time SEN Teacher. The school supports and cares for Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form age children with ASD, complex learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will play an integral part of the school’s team who put the children and young people at the centre of everything they do. You will plan, assess and deliver outstanding teaching and learning that enable all young people to learn, whilst ensuring that pastoral needs are met. You will need to: * Hold valid QTS or equivalent * Promote the delivery of outstanding teaching * Have teaching experience whether in a mainstream or SEN setting * Be a superb communicator * Have good behaviour management skills * Hold an excellent classroom practice to be able to motivate and enable learning in pupils of all abilities and needs. * Exhibit the ability to adapt and improvise. The class has 7 pupils aged between 11 – 15 all with a range of special educational needs including autistic spectrum condition (ASC) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
