We are now recruiting for the exciting role of an Onboarding Manager, to be involved in a game changing role as we strive to make the nuclear industry more diverse.

The Onboarding Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth, engaging, and efficient onboarding experience for all new joiners including permanent employees and contingent workers across the enterprise.

As part of the Talent Acquisition team, this role acts as the central coordinator and connects process and activity across key stakeholders including IT, Security, HRBPs, Reward, Development & Capability, and Hiring Managers to deliver a consistent and high-quality onboarding journey aligned with our employer brand and values.

Critically, the role will ensure that new joiners are set up for success and their integration into Rolls Royce SMR is a smooth, stress free experience that continues to position us as an employer of choice. This will be achieved through a buddy system, regular check-ins, surveys, and smooth handover points.

The scope of the onboarding journey and remit will run from point of offer acceptance through to the completion of the probation period. You will support managers and stakeholders with check-ins and touch points for new employees

The ideal person will have experience in the following:

Onboarding Management


* Own and manage the end-to-end onboarding process for all new hires.
* Lead a team to deliver all activity
* Ensure timely completion of pre-employment checks, contract issuance, and system access setup.
* Liaise with IT to coordinate equipment provisioning and systems access.
* Partner with HR and Reward to ensure accurate data flow and benefits enrolment.

Reporting & Insights

* Develop and maintain dashboard-style reporting to track onboarding metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
* Provide regular updates and insights to the Head of Talent Acquisition to support leadership reporting and strategic decision-making.
* Use data to identify bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and enhance the new joiner experience.

Stakeholder Engagement

* Act as the primary point of contact for hiring managers regarding onboarding timelines and expectations.
* Collaborate with Development & Capability to align onboarding with induction and learning pathways.
* Maintain strong relationships with internal teams to continuously improve onboarding touchpoints.

Experience & Process Improvement

* Monitor and evaluate onboarding effectiveness through feedback and data.
* Identify opportunities to enhance the onboarding experience and streamline processes.
* Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in onboarding practices.

Compliance & Documentation

* Ensure all onboarding activities comply with legal and company policy requirements.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.

Pay And Benefits

Pay and Benefits

* Salary - £57,600 - £75,600
* A performance related bonus of up to 12.5%,
* An attractive pension scheme with 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
* You will also receive a flexible benefits allowance of £2,200, enabling you to create a bespoke package to suit your needs.
* 28 days annual leave (plus bank holiday) with ability to buy additional days.

* £250 one-off cash allowance on joining to spend on your home-office set-up
