About The Role
We are recruiting Drainage Engineers to work in 2-person teams across Sussex, following a major contract win with Southern Water. This is a great opportunity to start or advance your career with Lanes Group, a leading UK infrastructure delivery partner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Travel via HGV to residential sites, operating high-pressure water jets.
2. Maintain and clear drainage systems.
3. Accurately record job reports using specialist equipment.
4. Run diagnostics and repair drains.
5. Provide excellent customer service.
6. Follow health and safety practices at all times.
7. Manage vehicle stock and equipment.
8. Operate specialist equipment including vacuum tankers.
9. Ensure safe access and manual handling procedures.
10. Work in all weather conditions, using PPE and lone worker systems as needed.
11. Conduct site risk assessments and liaise with clients.
12. Support colleagues and conduct safety inspections.
13. Report defects and malfunctions.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
About You
The ideal candidate is hardworking, respectful, and adheres to safety standards. Experience with high-pressure jetting is helpful but not essential. Qualifications such as NRSWA or Confined Spaces are advantageous. You must hold a minimum of a HGV Class 2 license, CPC, and have an up-to-date digi tachograph card.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, permanent role based at Crawley Depot, working 4 days on, 4 days off, with a salary of £33,000 per annum. Benefits include holiday entitlement, health plan, pension, and onsite parking. Full training and equipment will be provided.
