Role Overview: As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide individualised and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them to engage in learning, regulate their emotions, and develop social skills. Responsibilities as a SEMH TA: Support pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 or small group basis. Promote a positive and nurturing learning environment. Help manage behaviour and encourage emotional regulation. Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external agencies. Encourage pupils to develop resilience, independence, and self-confidence. Requirements for SEMH TA: Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs is essential. Strong behaviour management and communication skills. A calm, empathetic, and patient approach.
