As Bid Manager, you'll leverage your expertise to craft unstoppable proposals. You'll own the entire bid process, from spotting opportunities to finalising submissions and everything in between. ITTs and RFPs become your playground as you align resources perfectly with client needs and scoring criteria. You'll navigate presentations, negotiations, and clarifications, securing those win/loss debriefs that become gold for our continuous improvement process. As the champion of Trustmarque's bid, governance, and commercial processes, you'll be a master networker who thrives under pressure and tight deadlines. If you possess strong people management, commercial acumen, planning skills, and a meticulous eye for detail, this dynamic role is waiting for you.
What you’ll be doing:
* Manage the full bid lifecycle process and apply Trustmarque’s bid management methodology, bring structure, clarity and governance to the process and discipline relating to bid management activities
* Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from stakeholders at all levels from across the business and partners/subcontractors
* Engage all necessary subject matter experts (SMEs) from sales, marketing, product specialists, professional services, finance, commercial & legal, project management/delivery, senior leadership, etc to produce a high-quality proposal/response to an ITT
* Work closely with the Sales lead to develop the win strategy and win themes, including pinpointing Trustmarque’s unique selling points (USP - key differentiators) and discriminators (which customers use to discriminate in favour of our bid)
* Research current and future market trends to identify and distribute opportunities for growth
Here's what we're looking for:
* Bid management experience and experience managing large scale, complex, multi-stakeholder, £multi-million, multi-workstream IT product and/or services bids
* Skills in managing large bid teams through virtual work environments
* Excellent communicator, skills and experience working with CEO / Director level (internal and external)
* Ability to drive solutions to successful conclusion
* Conversant with the UK’s competitive Value-Added Reseller marketplace
* Strong commercial understanding and profit & loss / risk management experience
* Solid understanding and management of internal governance procedures
* Experience in the Public Sector and Enterprise customers
* APMP or Shipley certification
