Job Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Ophthalmic Imaging Specialist to provide imaging services for diagnosis and clinical management at Barnet Hospital, as part of Royal Free London Ophthalmology services.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform specialist ophthalmic imaging procedures including External and Fundus Imaging, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), and OCT Angiography (OCTA).
* Use automated focimeters to measure spectacle prescriptions.
* Maintain accurate records and support audit, research, and medico‑legal imaging documentation.
* Carry out high quality investigations and diagnostic tests as directed by consultants, clinicians, and nurses in clinics.
* Participate in teaching activities and continuous professional development.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience in an ophthalmic imaging role.
* Specialist knowledge of Fluorescein angiography, optical coherence tomography (OCT), OCT‑angiography, wide‑field retinal imaging, slit‑lamp, and external photography.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
Experience
* Experience in ophthalmic imaging.
* Experience using a range of ophthalmic imaging devices.
* Understanding of team dynamics and effective teamwork.
* Experience working in a hospital or care environment.
Skills and Aptitudes
* Ability to work without direct supervision.
* Capacity to prioritise workload and make correct decisions within established guidelines.

Eligibility and Work Authorization
* Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom or meet the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.

Certification & Accreditation
* You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
