Our client is seeking an Engineering Lab Technician to join a small, high-calibre team developing the next generation of on-wing engine inspection technologies and automation solutions.
Key responsibilities:
* Support engineering R&D projects through a broad range of development testing.
* Design, set up and operate mechanical and electronic testing.
* Develop testing apparatus and procedures.
* Collect and process data using Excel, with Python desirable.
* Report test results clearly to the team.
* Devise new tests based on existing results.
* Support basic 3D CAD work for test equipment design and build.
* Assist with workshop activities and 3D printing.
* Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
* Travel occasionally within the UK to conduct product testing.
Essential experience:
* Engineering verification and validation.
* Use of oscilloscopes, data loggers and similar equipment.
* Workshop skills, including basic power and hand tools.
* Experience in small, fast-moving engineering teams.
* CAD experience.
* Creating test documentation, plans and results reports.
Desirable:
* Test automation experience.
* Programming of Arduinos, Raspberry Pi, or similar.
* Robotic programming experience, such as UR robots.
