Chemical Charge Design Engineer
Location: Glascoed, Pontypool, BAE Systems
Working Arrangements: 3 days a week onsite
Contract: 6-12 Months (37 hours per week)
Hourly Rate: £30 Umbrella (INSIDE IR35) TBC
Role Overview:
Join our propelling charge development team as a Charge Design Engineer. This role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and evaluating propelling charges for new munitions products and maintaining legacy systems.
Essential Requirements:
* Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
* 3+ years in the Chemical Engineering industry.
* Experience with hazard identification and risk assessment.
* Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
Desirable Skills:
* Knowledge of gun propellants and the design process.
* Experience in mathematical modelling and systems engineering.
* Advanced data analysis and report writing skills.
