As the Planning Officer (Enforcement) for the Development Management Team you will carry out the full duties of the post in accordance with the legislative requirements and the Council’s statutory duties, policies and priorities, as directed. You will deliver high‑quality services, advise on correct procedures and legislation, and drive continuous improvement. We’re looking for someone who’s motivated, enthusiastic and highly organised, with excellent written, numeracy and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or willing to commence study to achieve an RTPI recognised qualification. You will be able to analyse and interpret data, prepare reports and briefings, take part and lead on topic groups and manage projects. Relevant experience in development management at local authority level would be an advantage in this role. This is a home working contract, and the majority of duties will be carried out at home, however, employees will be contractually required to attend site on two days per month for team meetings, 121 meetings, etc. Employees may also be required to attend a site for meetings, collaborative work or to undertake work related activities. Site attendance will constitute no more than 40% of working time and includes the contractual 2 days per month.
