Team: Operations
Reporting to: Senior Operations Manager (US/EST)
Location: London HQ (Euston 3 days/week)
ABOUT PINTER
Pinter is a groundbreaking D2C subscription company offering precision-engineered technology that allows customers to craft and enjoy 10 pints of award-winning Fresh Beer at home. Headquartered in the UK and selling across the UK and US, we are committed to revolutionising the home beer experience through innovation and excellence.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Supply Chain Lead is the analytical engine and supply planning owner of Pinter’s global operations. You own the maths and the manufacturers. While a 39-week forecasting model is in place, you are expected to be its architect: troubleshooting errors, improving its logic, and evolving it to meet the needs of a scaling subscription business.
This role requires a unique blend of technical spreadsheet mastery and operational grit. You will operate with high autonomy during the UK morning, leverage the \"Asia Advantage\" with our Chinese suppliers, and ensure that our production in the UK remains seamless.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supply Planning & Model Evolution
* Own & Evolve the Model: Execute and audit the weekly supply planning process for 50+ SKUs. You aren't just a data entry clerk; you are responsible for identifying logic gaps, improving forecasting accuracy, and building out new functionalities within our 39-week multi-sheet model.
* Inventory Optimisation: Maintain optimal stock levels across UK and US warehouses. Ensure 100% subscription fulfilment for Pinter Packs while protecting company cash flow.
* The \"Asia Advantage\": Use the UK/Asia time zone overlap to proactively resolve manufacturing or component delays with Chinese suppliers before the US team starts their day.
* Master Data Integrity: Act as the gatekeeper for all supply chain data (MOQs, lead times, cost prices), ensuring a \"Single Source of Truth\".
2. S&OP Support & Data Analysis
* S&OP: Act as the primary support to the Senior Operations Manager in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, and own the data readiness for the meetings.
* BI & Insights: Leverage data analysis and BI tools to translate raw supply data into actionable insights for the executive team.
* Commercial Guardrails: Monitor COGS and LOGS, providing the \"reality check\" on how marketing ambitions impact upfront inventory spend.
* Automation & AI Integration: Proactively identify opportunities to move beyond manual spreadsheets.
3. Supplier Ownership & Quality Accountability
* Lead Contact: Serve as the primary commercial lead for key manufacturers, including preparing presentations for QBRs - quarterly business reviews.
* Production Agility: Manage 12-18 week lead times and coordinate on-site at the manufacturers (UK) when necessary to unblock assembly or quality issues.
* Financial Recovery: Implement formalised credit processes for non-conforming products (clawing back cash for defects).
4. Startup Mentality & Cross-Functional Projects
* Hands-on Problem Solving: In a lean startup environment, you are ready to \"roll up your sleeves\" - whether that’s auditing a shipment at a warehouse or taking on new operational projects as they arise.
* Team Player: Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Development, and Finance to ensure operational readiness for new launches.
* Flexibility: Be ready to pivot and support wider operations tasks during peak periods or territory expansions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential
* Advanced Excel/Modelling: You can build, troubleshoot, and optimise complex, multi-sheet models from scratch.
* Startup Mentality: A \"no task too small\" attitude and team player, with a proven ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
* Supply Chain experience: Strong background in procurement, supply planning, or production management (ideally in D2C/FMCG).
* Cross-Functional Communication: Ability to translate complex supply chain \"math\" into clear updates for non-ops stakeholders.
Highly Desired
* BI Tool Proficiency: Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, or similar tools to move beyond spreadsheets.
* Project Management: Experience leading ad-hoc projects or process improvements.
* Global Experience: Familiarity with importing from China, exporting to the US and 3PL/stock management in both the UK and US.

* Salary: £40,000-£50,000
* Holidays: 25 days + 8 days bank holiday (6 to be taken whenever you like - we are closed only 1st January and 25th December)
