Join to apply for the Graduate Electrical Design Engineer role at JP ENGINEERING METAL WORKS LIMITED. They are owned and operated by Director/Shareholders with a vested interest in client satisfaction and return business. They are comfortable with alternative roles within construction, e.g., consultant to client, architect and expert witness.
They are looking for a Junior to Intermediate Electrical Building Services Engineer who has preferably accrued design experience within an engineering consultant or contractor and is keen to match the ambition of this company by taking the next step. They will consider a raw graduate with the right attitude and willingness to succeed.
You will be predominantly based in East Anglia and may travel to different parts of the country for work and different projects where required. You will have worked on larger projects in a previous role and it is essential that you have broad experience. The right candidate will have a hands-on approach to Electrical design on a range of projects.
You are required to have a degree or master’s degree in Building Services/Electrical Engineering and a strong technical design background. Preferably you will have strong BIM skills.
Responsibilities
* Apply electrical design skills to a range of building services projects.
* Collaborate with the Building Services team to develop technical designs and drawings.
* Support bid and project delivery through design development and coordination.
* Travel to project sites and client locations as needed.
Qualifications
* Degree or master’s degree in Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
* Strong technical design background with practical hands-on experience.
* Preferably strong BIM skills.
* Experience on larger projects within an engineering consultancy or contractor environment is advantageous.
