Total hours per week: 40.0 Expected duration 15 Months Possible start date 10 Jun 2024 Date posted 29 Feb 2024 Apprenticeship level Advanced Level 3 (A level) Reference number VAC1000234766 Positions 1 available What you will do in your working day Help support the introduction of new products, processes, and standards, ensuring that all remanufactured products follow the agreed process in the most efficient way, whilst complying with health and safety and environmental legislation Help evaluate components and assemblies for remanufacturing and or re-engineering Help establishing the cost basis for products Help support the purchase of components relating to specification, fit and function, quality and source To work closely with and help the Engineering Manager in resolving technical and other product issues To learn how to produce engineering drawings using Spaceclaim 3D CAD system and use a 3D scanning system to support re-engineering components Help and support the creation of work instructions, survey, critical to quality and final test documents Help maintain product information on the kinetic computer system Learn how to remanufacture various electrical products, working alongside fellow technicians Carry out duties and other ad hoc reasonable requests made by higher management as and when required The training you will be getting Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills English and maths level 2 if required. This programme includes Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Technical Knowledge) BTEC Diploma Edexcel L3, Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Product Design and Development, and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) Diploma L2. This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our Engineering campus, NG17. This attendance is required during term time only. You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession. You will experience a blended learning model. You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio. At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.
