Job Title – Finance Administrator Location – Knaresborough Salary - £26,000 - £29,000pa Hours – Full time Our Client - We are excited to be recruiting a Finance Administrator on behalf of a dynamic organisation on the outskirts of Knaresborough, known for its commitment to quality, innovation and long term partnerships. Operating in a fast paced, high volume environment, this role offers a great opportunity for a finance professional looking to broaden their commercial experience. About the role - The successful candidate will support the finance team by assisting with payroll, credit control, and purchase/sales ledger processes. You will collaborate with managers and staff across departments to help improve financial processes and ensure accuracy in daily financial operations. This role provides valuable exposure to a range of finance functions and the chance to contribute meaningfully to the organisation’s success. Key responsibilities of the Finance Administrator – Accurately process supplier invoices, match them to purchase orders, maintain up to date purchase ledger records and communicate with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies or issues Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in line with company procedures, process incoming payments, allocate them to the correct accounts and complete regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records Investigate and resolve invoice or payment queries efficiently by liaising with customers and relevant internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations Support the weekly payroll processing for all departments, making sure it is completed on schedule and with consistent accuracy Review and process customer credit applications in accordance with company credit policies, ensuring appropriate checks are carried out Monitor outstanding debts, follow up with customers on overdue invoices and maintain accurate credit control records, contributing to regular aged debtor reporting Support the finance team with month end processes, including account reconciliations and preparation of routine financial reports Skills required – Understanding of finance processes whether in sole or dual capacity within role Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook Skilled in organising tasks, managing time and balancing competing priorities Careful and precise with a focus on detail In return, you will receive a competitive salary ranging from £26,000 to £29,000, reflecting your experience and skills.
