Part-time Accounts Assistant
Our client is seeking a part-time Accounts Assistant to support the finance team by ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. You will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of financial data and contributing to the smooth operation of the organisation's financial processes.
Part-time Accounts Assistant Responsibilities
This position will involve, but will not be limited to:
* Lead month-end close activities, ensuring timely posting of accruals and prepayments and producing accurate financial results.
* Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accounts are fully supported and audit-ready.
* Manage the purchase order approval process, working with budget holders to ensure accurate coding and financial control.
* Support sales ledger accuracy and credit control, assisting in debt collection, aged debt reporting, and account follow-ups.
* Provide accurate financial data for board reporting, including variance analysis and key metrics to support decision-making.
* Collaborate with the finance team and wider business, actively contributing to team outcomes and promoting company values.

The Company
A rapidly growing international company, driven by purpose. This is a part-time role working 25 hours per week, ideally split over 5 days working 9:30 - 14:30, however, other options will be considered (minimum 4 days).
Part-time Accounts Assistant Essentials
* Experience working in a finance or accounts team, ideally in a similar assistant or junior accounting role
* Practical knowledge of month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
* Ideally AAT qualified or working towards, with strong Excel skills
* A professional and proactive self-starter, who takes initiative
* Excellent attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks.
* Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities
* Able to demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks effectively, within a fast-pace and changing environment
