We're working with a global engineering company at the forefront of innovation in clean energy and off-highway mobility. Their Edinburgh-based innovation centre is expanding and looking for a Hydraulic Systems Technician to join their growing R&D team.
This is a hands-on, technically diverse role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment. You'll be operating and maintaining hydraulic test rigs, supporting prototype builds, running system performance tests, and playing a key part in developing the next generation of hydraulic technologies for off-highway vehicles.
?? What you'll do:
* Set up and run hydraulic test rigs, instrumentation, and data systems
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hydraulic systems and rigs
* Analyse test data and help improve system performance
* Assemble and fabricate prototype systems
* Support engineers with field testing and product development
?? What we're looking for:
* Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulics or similar
* Strong experience with hydraulic systems, testing, or maintenance
* Skilled in fault-finding, system assembly, and using test equipment
* Comfortable reading schematics and technical drawings
* Bonus if you've used CAN bus, 3D CAD, or worked with heavy machinery
