Are you an experienced classroom practitioner ready to step up and lead learning?
Veritas Education is working with a range of supportive primary schools across Rossendale, seeking confident and capable individuals to work as Unqualified Teachers / Cover Supervisors. This is an excellent opportunity to take on full classroom responsibility without the planning, while building valuable teaching experience.
Whether you're an experienced HLTA, Cover Supervisor, or aspiring teacher, this role offers flexibility, variety, and the chance to make a real impact in the classroom.
The Role You will be delivering pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, ensuring pupils remain engaged and continue their learning in the absence of the class teacher.
Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, pre-prepared lessons Manage classroom behaviour effectively Create a positive and structured learning environment Support pupils with their learning Provide feedback to teaching staff Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies
Requirements Strong experience working in schools (e.g. HLTA, Cover Supervisor or similar) Confidence teaching whole classes independently Excellent behaviour management skills A proactive and adaptable approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Right to work in the UK
Desirable Experience Experience across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 Experience supporting pupils with SEND
