Salary: £50,905.40 (£56,099.43 after 12 months of successful performance in the role)
Working Hours: 35 per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, Hybrid
Location: Liverpool City Reg Hub, Walton

The difference you will make as a Contracts Manager
Support the Head of Asset Investment and Delivery in developing and monitoring maintenance, repair and service charge contracts for the Group (including Riverside Home Ownership RHO, Care and Support, and the Retirement Living Programme RLIP). Lead a small team of Project Surveyors to ensure delivery of the programme of works underpinning the Asset Management Strategy.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
* Proven track record of successful contract implementation and management for a large and diverse portfolio of mixed tenure properties.
* In-depth knowledge of contract formation and contract types.
* Comprehensive knowledge of general operating procedures within an Asset Management function.
* In-depth knowledge of building regulations.
* Proven track record of using project management methodologies.
* Experience of leading and motivating teams, including managing performance.
* Effective stakeholder management and ability to persuade and influence others.
* Results-driven with strong analytical skills and ability to provide meaningful management information.
* Commercial awareness with a focus on continuous improvement and change management.
* Customer-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Sound judgement in decision-making.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Relevant building qualification (e.g., HNC in Building, or equivalent).
* Health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH General, or equivalent).
* Relevant professional qualification.
Role Profile
* Lead and engage with Project Surveyors to deliver high-quality service and operational objectives that underpin the Asset Management Strategy.
* Develop, implement and monitor contract management approaches, policies and procedures, adopting best practice and continuous improvement.
* Mobilise and implement new contracts in collaboration with procurement, assess supplier competence, and ensure robust contract management arrangements.
* Review existing contracted services to drive efficiencies, cost reductions and continuous improvement.
* Monitor contracts with performance frameworks, including SLAs and KPIs; lead performance review meetings and address underperformance.
* Ensure data integrity for maintenance, repairs and service charge contracts and enable analysis and reporting.
* Provide budgeting input and ensure contract expenditure aligns with financial controls.
* Manage the performance and development of Project Surveyors, providing coaching as required.
* Conduct regular reviews of the Contract Management service to identify efficiencies and drive change in line with change management protocols.
* Collaborate with leadership to deliver the wider service and ensure data protection and health and safety compliance.
* Lead, motivate and manage internal and external stakeholders, including Procurement and suppliers.

* Relevant building qualification and NEBOSH or equivalent.
