Department: CSG - Casualty (EL/PL / Complex Injury / Disease / Fraud / Motor Injury / Vehicle Hire and Damage)

What you will do
* Handling a caseload of predominantly litigated claims on both the County Court and High Court jurisdictions, with an appropriate level of supervision, potentially across a number of different clients. These claims will mainly consist of both Motor and Credit Hire Fraud motor and possibly casualty fraud. The cases will be a mixture of Delegated and Non-Delegated authority.
* Attend all County Courts and the High Court either in person or remotely when necessary for advocacy purposes.
* Act as a point of contact for clients, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience.
* Ensure full compliance with clients' SLAs and DAC Beachcroft's internal protocols.
* Demonstrate a high level of financial management in respect of own files.
* Achieve annual fee targets and hit 1440 chargeable hours per year (if full time).
* Support marketing and business development activity within the team e.g. attending marketing events and client training.
* Build an awareness of the Firm's other services, developing effective internal and external networks.
* Maintain and develop technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions, reading appropriate publications and meeting Solicitors Regulatory Authority CPD requirements, where necessary.
* Provide prompt and accurate MI.
Who you are
* A Practising Solicitor (0–5 years PQE) preferably with a strong litigation background.
* Expertise in fraud is beneficial, but not essential.
* Knowledge of motor and credit hire claims is beneficial.
* Sound knowledge of the Litigious processes and procedures in Northern Ireland.
* Confident negotiator and communicator.
* First‑class investigation and analytical skills.
* Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision but also a team player with a collegiate approach to knowledge sharing and problem solving.
* A commercial perspective on legal issues.
* Demonstrates alignment with the Firm’s Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive).
