The Launch Management System Design Authority is responsible for ensuring the technical development, certification sign-off, and in-service support for the Launch Management System (LMS) on two major programmes, Sea Ceptor and Land Ceptor.
The LMS is a critical component in ensuring the safe and secure launch of missiles from our Weapon Systems. The Design Authority maintains a complex structure of functional and physical design to verify, validate, and accept every aspect of the product into the Weapon System capability.
In this role, you will engage across technical areas including system design, software engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, in-service reliability, safety, cybersecurity, and more. You will also ensure hardware and software designs evolve to meet system capability demands.
The LMS Design Authority will support career development and maintain expertise within the team to meet design goals aligned with MBDA's organizational objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading design for complex electronics subsystems
* Managing technical risks and opportunities
* Building relationships with Product Design stakeholders
* Applying systems engineering principles and processes
* Requirements engineering at system, subsystem, or component levels
* Designing and building hardware and software for electronics equipment
* Validating test procedures for product verification and certification

Salary and Benefits:
* £49,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
