About The Role

As a result, Balfour Beatty has been selected by BP to construct a first‑of‑a‑kind fully integrated gas‑fired power station with carbon capture and storage, a key driving force behind plans to make Teesside the UK’s first decarbonised industrial cluster.
The Integration Lead will contribute to the Net Zero Teesside (NZT) project based at our site in Redcar and Cleveland.
Responsibilities
 * Lead integration across all BBK scopes (MEP, process tie‑ins, control systems, modular systems)
 * Manage interfaces with client, licensors, EPC partners, and other contractors
 * Oversee multi‑disciplinary design reviews, ensuring constructability and compliance with project requirements
 * Develop and maintain interface management plans, trackers, and risk registers
 * Coordinate sequencing, scheduling, and commissioning activities to avoid clashes and delays
 * Act as primary point of contact for technical and delivery issues that cut across packages
 * Provide leadership in resolving integration challenges during design and construction
 * Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across integrated systems
 * Report progress, risks, and integration status to senior project leadership
 * Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement
Qualifications
 * Degree (BEng/MEng or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or related engineering discipline
 * Strong track record in delivering complex industrial or energy projects (power generation, petrochemical, oil & gas, or process plants)
 * Proven experience in multi‑disciplinary coordination and interface management
 * Knowledge of MEP systems, process plant integration, and commissioning planning
 * Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
