As a Platform Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the platform team, you will be at the core of this venture, focused on delivering innovative ideas to our customers. Job Responsibilities
Develop secure, high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others.
Develop composable infrastructure systems and capabilities.
Identify opportunities to automate or eliminate recurring issues to enhance operational stability.
Provide operational support for production systems in a 'you-build-it, you-run-it' culture.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability within existing systems.
Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new technologies.
Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts (e.g., CKAD, Google Cloud Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect).
Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Java, or Kotlin.
Strong understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Proficiency in software applications and processes within a technical domain like cloud, AI, ML, or mobile.
Experience deploying Kubernetes applications on cloud providers like Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Cloud.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Expertise in the Kubernetes operator pattern.
Experience deploying infrastructure as code using Crossplane, Terraform, or similar tools.
