We are seeking applications from motivated individuals to support the NHS Borders Vaccination Programmes, part of the Vaccination Transformation Programme. This role involves vaccinating a wide spectrum of age groups, including babies, pre-school children, young people, and adults, across various settings such as health centres, community clinics, schools, care homes, and patients' homes throughout the Scottish Borders.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Administering vaccines to diverse age groups, including Pneumococcal, Shingles, RSV, Covid, and Flu.
2. Observing vaccination sessions for babies and pre-school children as part of the interview process.
3. Working collaboratively within a team and independently to deliver high-quality care.
4. Upholding NHS values such as care, compassion, quality, teamwork, dignity, respect, openness, honesty, and responsibility.
Essential skills and qualities include excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong understanding of NHS core values to ensure efficient service delivery and high standards of care.
