Your new role
As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in maintaining smooth financial operations. This full-time position (40 hours/week) starts in early to mid-October 2025, with a starting salary of £25,403, rising to £26,740 after a successful 3-month probation.Key responsibilities include:
* Bookkeeping and accurate data entry
* Recording, reconciling, and filing purchase invoices
* Processing staff expenses and liaising with internal teams and suppliers
* Reconciling supplier statements and compiling company reports
* General administrative duties (post and catalogue distribution)
* Providing cover for colleagues during absence
* Supporting the Finance Director with ad hoc tasks
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
* A sharp eye for detail and numerical accuracy
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent time management and self-discipline
* A calm, professional temperament and team-oriented mindset
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
* Experience with SAP Business One and AAT Level 2 (desirable)
Qualifications:
* Minimum: GCSE passes in Maths and English
* Desirable: 3 A-Level passes
