Job Opportunity: Stores Person

We are currently recruiting for a Stores Person to manage the day-to-day operations of the factory store for our client based in the Ballymena area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to the company's goal of improving and developing efficient store procedures, including goods inwards and outwards.

The position is permanent, with variable hours between 32 and 48 per week as needed. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00am to 17:00pm, with flexibility for overtime and/or Saturday work if necessary.

Rate of pay: £ plus performance bonus.


Job Duties:

1. Coordinate and implement all store activities as part of the procurement team, including ordering, receipting goods inwards, and issuing items outwards from the store.
2. Liaise with suppliers to manage stock levels, delivery schedules, and ensure correct specifications and certifications, providing value for the business.
3. Use Syteline software to maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records.
4. Manage JIT requirements for delivery of goods to the factory floor and other departments using Syteline.
5. Conduct stock cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to maintain stock accuracy and visibility.
6. Manage PPE & Uniform procurement and distribution, adhering to Health & Safety guidelines.
7. Liaise with various departments as part of procurement and stock management teams.
8. Maintain a tidy store to support operational efficiency.
9. Willingness to undertake forklift training and operate machinery.
10. Proven experience working in a manufacturing store or similar environment.
11. Knowledge of relevant software systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
12. Highly organized with an accurate work approach.
13. Positive attitude and proactive contribution towards the company’s vision.
14. Good communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
15. Adherence to Health & Safety policies and procedures.
16. Willingness to clean and maintain the work area.
17. Fluent in written and spoken English.
18. Full Clean Driving Licence.
