The Construction Site Manager/Superintendent is a key member of the project team, directing the construction of solar and battery storage projects from conception to completion. The Construction Site Manager manages all aspects of the build including schedule and budget, contractors, material/equipment deliveries, job-site safety, quality control/assurance, design & permit adherence, and construction reporting to the project team.
The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of 3+ years of onsite construction oversight & management. Hands-on understanding of solar or energy storage implementations is a solid plus.
Scope of Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
* On site management, coordination and administration of a project’s construction activities.
* Assist in the development of project cost estimates.
* Define scope of work and requirements for each project.
* Identify, track and ensure milestones are completed according to schedule.
* Create bid solicitation packages for subcontractor work.
* Assist with negotiating vendor/subcontractor agreements.
* Daily management of subcontractor productivity and performance against schedule (including adherence to project designs, specifications, permits and approvals).
* Lead on-site meetings with clients, subcontractors, utility and other stakeholders;
* Initiate and maintain relationships with clients, building owners, contractors, and local community.
* Complete required project reporting, logs and maintain documentation, some of which may require computer entry.
* Implement and maintain all site safety standards and procedures. Identifies gaps in safety standards as well as safety risks and provides recommendations to management.
* Secure permits from local authorities to commence and complete site activities.
* Perform other duties as assigned by Agilitas.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated construction management experience including scope management, project scheduling and budgeting, and a successful track record in management of similar commercial or utility scale projects.
* Experience in construction means & methods, codes and standards, particularly electrical work and safety management including OSHA, NFPA, National Electrical Code and incorporation of safety into the daily work routine.
* Understanding of all facets of a construction project’s lifecycle.
* Strong project management and problem solving skills.
* Strong technical aptitude with ability to deliver creative solutions.
* Self-driven, highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
* Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously.
* Strong work ethic, detail oriented and a focus on task or initiative follow through.
* Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, civil and/or architectural drawings.
* Knowledge of commissioning requirements/procedures and ability to use technical equipment.
* Experience with project closeout and ability to recognize and prevent deficiencies during construction.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Microsoft Project and Excel);
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* OSHA 10-hour Construction Card (30-hour preferred).
* Procore, AutoCAD, or Bluebeam experience a plus;
* Driving record must meet Company insurance standards and must maintain a valid state Driver’s License.
