Responsibilities
1. Deliver technical assurance for civil engineering assets, including structures, tunnels, earthworks, and environmental works.
2. Support senior engineers in risk-based assurance of work packages, developing and implementing assurance plans.
3. Undertake NEC3/NEC4 Supervisor duties and ensure contractor processes, procedures, and deliverables meet programme standards.
4. Review inspection and test plans, VAPs, and SNCs; report findings and maintain accurate assurance records.
5. Act as a point of contact on site, liaising with contractors, sub-agents, and project teams.
Skills and Experience Required
6. Broad civil engineering experience with at least 5 years in and around construction sites, ideally client-side or assurance-focused.
7. Strong knowledge of construction assurance deliverables, including inspection plans, defect management, PMAFs, and reporting.
8. NEC3 or NEC4 Supervisor experience is essential.
9. Driving licence is essential.
10. Experience across multiple asset types: heavy civils, structures, tunnels, earthworks, and environmental works is desired.
11. Chartered Engineer or working toward membership of an appropriate professional institution is desirable.
12. Familiarity with UK construction regulations, CDM, and cost/schedule awareness.
