QA Engineer role at Arco: Experts In Safety.
Are you an experienced QA Engineer looking for an opportunity with a progressive, exciting, market leading company? This is a fixed term contract until the end of June 2026. The role is hybrid, with a mix of office-based and remote home-based working.
Responsibilities
* Conduct a range of testing types, including functional and non-functional.
* Work with the Lead QA Engineer to implement automation and non-functional testing strategy.
* Build and maintain automated test suites, supporting a CI/CD approach.
* Experience with Selenium (Java) and Cypress (JavaScript).
* Check and review QA Engineer PRs.
* Drive the shift-left concept by bringing testing and quality criteria into early stages of product development, and contribute to refinement, testing, delivery, release and deployment decisions based on experience and knowledge.
* Train and coach the scrum team and Junior Testers to enhance agile testing knowledge and shared quality responsibilities.
* Triaging issues to identify defects and reproduce steps, including investigation and testing of fixes.
* Collaborate with Developers to contribute a testing perspective on high-risk areas to shape unit test coverage.

The ideal QA Engineer will be/have
* Knowledge of coding languages, e.g. Java, C#, JavaScript
* Experience with functional and non-functional testing
* Automation testing experience with Selenium/Java and Cypress/JavaScript
* Experience working in an Agile environment
* Full SDLC/testing life cycle exposure
* Technical ability to analyse and prepare documentation
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Passion for continuous learning and development of self and others
Desirable or willing to work towards
* ISTQB Agile Tester qualification
* ISTQB Foundation accreditation
* STEM degree or background
