We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join the Patient Systems Team at Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust in the role of Patient Systems Support.
Within this role, there will be a particular focus on Order Comms functionality across multiple systems currently used by the Trust.
We are particularly interested in applicants who can demonstrate an understanding of Order Comms systems and who have a background in the use of digital platforms used in the NHS for the electronic requesting and viewing of pathology and radiology diagnostic tests.
The Trust has invested significantly in digital technology, and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team supporting the development, testing, training and rollout of various clinical systems used across HDFT, including Acute and Community services.
The delivery and support of digital technology at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is fundamental in enabling staff to provide excellent and safe patient care, and the Patient Systems Team is key in enabling that. The role of Patient Systems Support ensures that all systems are managed to provide optimal support and function.
Main duties
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team, providing an excellent service to our end users across Acute and Community services.
The role includes configuration and maintenance, testing, end‑user support and training across multiple systems.
Patient Systems Support colleagues work collaboratively with end users, internal departments and system suppliers towards resolution of all technical issues and enquiries, ensuring problems are dealt with proactively and the cause and solution are communicated fully to close the loop and improve fundamental system understanding among the user base on an ongoing basis.
Job responsibilities
Responsible for administration, support, management, training and further development of the Trust's Patient and Information systems, such as PCS, eRS, Ascom, Dragon Medical (Workflow Manager and One), Endosoft, Patientrack, EPMA (Medchart), ICE, SystmOne and WebV, used by teams across acute and community based services.
Provide specialist knowledge and support to system users, be committed to service delivery and continual customer‑focused improvement.
Person Specification
Education / Experience
* Educated to diploma level or equivalent experience.
* Experience of comprehensive clinical patient systems (EPR) e.g. SystmOne, ICE, Cerner, RIO, Meditech or other EPRs.
* Training qualification or equivalent experience of training delivery/planning.
* Previous NHS Experience.
* Previous ICE or Order Comms experience.
* ITIL Qualification.
Skills and Knowledge
* Knowledge of patient systems process and administration.
* Skills and knowledge of training program design, implementation and development.
* Knowledge of help‑desk software to provide support to end users.
* Skills in building relationships and communication techniques that enable project delivery.
* Customer service skills, ability to influence, persuade and motivate.
* Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines.
* Knowledge of NHS data definitions and data standards.

Salary
£32,073 to £39,043 per annum (pro rata).
