We have an exciting opportunity at our Nicholls Campus to join our Student Experience and Support Department as a Welfare and Development Advisor on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week), term-time only (over 42 weeks) basis.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
7. Relevant welfare qualification and experience of working in a welfare advisor role.
8. Numeracy and Literacy skills (to level 2 or equivalent).
9. knowledge and experience of working in a welfare setting.
10. experience of assessing the needs of individuals.
11. Knowledge and understanding of a wide range of occupational, student finance and welfare matters and their implications for clients.
12. Ability to deal sensitively, flexibly and with empathy with clients from a range of cultural, ethnic, and welfare backgrounds.
13. Clear written and verbal communication skills.
14. Good IT skills using a range of software packages.
15. Excellent Data handling and analysis skills.
16. Research skills and the ability to create materials/resources for delivery to clients.
17. Ability to manage own workflow and effective time-management skills.
18. Ability to work effectively in cross-college teams and establish positive relationships.
19. Ability to train and develop others within the team.
