Day Rate: up to £400 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: London Hybrid working with on-site presence as required by the programme
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Change Lead to support the strategic transformation of five NHS Trusts into a single, integrated service centre. This high-impact opportunity sits at the heart of one of the most ambitious service transformation programmes in the public healthcare sector.
You will play a critical role in designing, leading, and delivering change strategies across multiple organisations, ensuring a smooth and effective transition to a new shared service model. This is an exciting chance to make a real difference to healthcare delivery on a large scale.
Key Responsibilities
As Change Lead, you will:
Lead the Change Journey: Oversee the end-to-end change management process as five NHS Trusts transition into a unified operating model.
Drive Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with stakeholders at all levelsclinical, operational, and executiveto build alignment and secure buy-in.
Develop and Implement Change Strategies: Create and tailor change frameworks that manage risk, support adoption, and reduce resistance.
Mitigate Risks and Resolve Issues: Identify and address barriers to change, maintaining pace and trust throughout the transition.
Support People Through Change: Provide hands-on guidance to individuals and teams adapting to new ways of working.
Monitor and Optimise Progress: Track key metrics, measure impact, and adjust strategies to meet evolving needs.
Advise Senior Leaders: Offer expert insights and strategic recommendations to steer the transformation effectively.
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills and Experience
Change Management Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading large-scale organisational change within complex environments such as the NHS or wider public sector.
Shared Services Expertise: A deep understanding of shared service delivery models and the challenges of implementing them at scale.
Exceptional Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders, from frontline staff to board-level executives.
Delivery in Complex Environments: A track record of driving successful outcomes across multi-organisation settings with competing priorities.
Familiarity with Change Methodologies: Strong grounding in recognised frameworks
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Resilient, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through uncertainty.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Professional qualification in change management
Experience supporting shared service transitions within the healthcare sector or similar regulated environments.
