The role of Caretaker will include:
1. Providing an effective estate maintenance service by undertaking caretaking, cleaning, basic repair and grounds maintenance duties
2. Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records
3. Carrying out risk assessments to identify and report any potential maintenance issues to ensure a safe environment is maintained and to support planned maintenance programmes
4. Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and used in line with policies and procedures and relevant regulations, reporting faults, hazards and inappropriate practice promptly, to ensure a safe living and working environment
5. Ensuring all supplies and stocks are ordered, maintained and stored appropriately in line with regulation and organisational procedures
6. Maintaining relationships with internal and external customers, providing accurate and timely information on progress and respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations, and escalate complaints as appropriate
7. Providing regular reports for Senior Managers regarding health and safety issues and buildings maintenance
Skills and experiences:
8. Able to demonstrate a competent level of numeracy and literacy
9. Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
10. Practical experience of carrying out risk assessments
11. Knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) guidelines
12. Basic communication skills for reading written instructions and updating records
13. Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
14. This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

25. Effective 1st April £26,442 per annum (rising to £27,833per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
